Chevron’s Business Support Center (BASSC), located in Buenos Aires, is accepting applications for the position of Power platform developer for the terminal management team within enterprise optimization organization. Successful candidates will join the IT Organization, which is part of a multifunction service and technical center with a workforce of more than 1800 employees that deliver business services and solutions to the corporation across the globe.
The Power platform developer role involves designing and overseeing the implementation of home-grown low code and automation solutions using Microsoft power platform solutions, Azure and their integration with various systems and applications. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, evaluating technology options, and guiding development teams to deliver scalable, secure and efficient solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using Power Apps (Canvas & Model-driven).
- Automate workflows and integrations using Power Automate, Azure services and SharePoint.
- Design, build, and maintain Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Apps, Dynamics 360) to support business functions and/or provide data to other IT applications to meet business needs.
- Develop and optimize SQL/DAX queries for data analysis and reporting.
- Debug and fix issues by applying basic programming concepts & patterns, applying in-depth knowledge of business domain to improve business workflows, and collaborating with business partners to identify, prioritize, and implement application enhancements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver user-friendly, scalable solutions.
- Ensure compliance with Chevron’s data governance, security, and IT policies.
- Provide technical support, documentation, and training for deployed solutions.
- Participate in pipeline automation and deployment processes using Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Apply Power Automate Desktop to streamline manual tasks such as file handling and system integration.
- Support data standardization and integration across platforms like Chevron Data Lake or Synapse
- Manage and automate application testing suites.
- Continually build your business acumen in new areas regarding ERP systems and internal core systems.
- Build and/or enhance integrations with ERP systems to source data for various business applications.
- Utilize Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Logic Apps to manage and integrate data across platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on expertise with:
- Power Apps (Canvas & Model-driven)
- Power Automate for workflow automation
- Dataverse for data storage and modeling
- Power BI for reporting and analytics
- Experience integrating with enterprise platforms such as SharePoint, SAP, and Azure services.
- Ability to gather business requirements and deliver user-friendly, scalable solutions.
- Hands-on experience developing and supporting solutions using Microsoft technologies
- Self-starter, curious about technology, able to multi-task, work independently, communicate well, and have a passion for solving complex business IT problems.
- Strong communication (written/verbal) and facilitation skills with the ability to convey business and technical information to a diverse audience.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to engage difficulties with persistence.
- SQL coding skills - Ability to understand or write queries related to Microsoft SQL views, stored procedures, and tables (Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio).
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Power Automate Desktop.
- Understanding of Microsoft Azure – Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps.
- Experience working in an agile team (Scrum/Kanban) is considered a plus.
- Experience/knowledge in developing and documenting functional specifications.
- Experience/knowledge with testing methodologies and tools.
- Ability to constructively manage issues, conflicts, and problems in a prompt, direct, and objective manner.
- Organized and skilled at planning. Ability to work from a high-level to a low level of detail and handle multiple assignments with varying priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, especially in leading small projects with a cross-functional team.
- Familiarity with information risk management requirements and processes.
- Familiarity with integration technologies and patterns (API, Messaging, Data Integration) is considered a plus.
