Chevron Global Technology Services (CGLOBTECH), located in Barcelona, Edo. Anzoategui, Venezuela, is accepting online applications for a Buyer positions. Successful candidate will conduct procurement of materials, equipment and ancillary services. Participate in implementation of and transactions against supplier contracts. Ensure purchase orders are established with all suppliers for procurement of materials, in accordance with Company policy, and to effectively use existing agreements. Participate in bidding, negotiations, and contracting when needed. Also involved in execution of the contracts and engage appropriate subject matter experts and business partners in conducting procurement activities.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Analyze “materials requisitions” to determine sourcing strategies, conduct supplier selections through bid processes or direct negotiations following Chevron Global technology Services (GLOBETEC) and corporate guidelines, ensure correctness of price, delivery time, and technical specifications to obtain best overall “total cost of ownership”.
Work closely with user departments to ensure material needs are clearly planned, organized and delivery dates are met. Develops cohesive working relationships with co-workers and external customers to facilitate the accomplishment of the required tasks.
Perform purchases of materials using procurement systems in order to satisfy the requirements associated with the base business operations.
Support the customers with compliance task within the procurement activity.
Maintain revisions about the use of Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), ensure that materials requirements are carefully planned and closely monitored. Analyze spend to work with Category Managers to develop new BPA’s where appropriate.
Ensure objectives of customer groups are clear and understood by these suppliers and the day-to-day material support for the operations is well managed.
Perform negotiations and settlement of contractual disputes. Seek advice on contractual interpretation with counsel from management and Legal.
Support the creation of the annual contracting and procurement plan.
Ensure that a validated database of Purchase orders is maintained. The database shall also maintain records of amendments. Ensure that a reliable document retention and retrieval system is in place.
Required Qualifications:
At least a two-year degree in technical (O&G, Logistics or Engineering) or administration areas.
Must be proficient in English. Written and interpersonal communication skills.
Teamwork and customer service focus (Capacity to provide response to several end users).
Experience with any SCM ERP system.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in procurement of materials and equipment.
SCM Knowledge- Experienced with supply chain practices.
Unit price analysis / Cost management
Analytic and Proficient in digital tools (Microsoft software, Power Bi, Power Apps)

Relocation may be considered.
International Considerations:
Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
