GBS Chevron Global Business Services (GBS), located in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero), Argentina, is accepting applications for the position of OT PCN Solution Architect.
Successful candidates will join the IT Organization, which is part of a multifunction service and technical center with a workforce of more than 1800 employees that deliver business services and solutions to the corporation across the globe.
The OT PCN Solution Architect is responsible for defining, designing, and governing end-to-end technical solutions across the Operational Technology (OT) / Process Control Network (PCN) landscape. This role ensures that PCN IT/OT technologies (e.g., IAM, Secure remote access, event logging/SIEM, automation, observability, hardening) are architected in alignment with cybersecurity guardrails, OT standards, and enterprise architecture principles.
The Solution Architect will work closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, Cybersecurity, and Site Operations to translate business and operational needs into scalable, secure, and supportable solutions deployed across multiple PCN sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Define end-to-end solution architectures for PCN IT/OT capabilities, ensuring secure-by-design, resilience, and operational sustainability across OT environments.
Translate business, operational, and cybersecurity requirements into architectural designs, technical standards, and implementation patterns for PCN solutions.
Establish and maintain reference architectures, design patterns, and technical guardrails for on-premises and hybrid OT solutions.
Collaborate with Product Owners and Agile teams to guide solution design throughout the delivery lifecycle, from concept through deployment and operations
Review and approve solution designs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, OT cybersecurity policies, and PCN standards.
Provide architectural guidance and hands-on technical leadership during complex implementations, integrations, and site deployments.
Partner with Cybersecurity and cloud teams to define IAM and remote access solution at the OT PCN environments to improve security, resiliency and automate day to day operations.
Support continuous improvement by identifying architectural risks, technical debt, and opportunities to standardize or simplify PCN technologies.
Required Qualifications:
Strong experience designing on-premises or hybrid architectures for IT /OT environments that support industrial infrastructures (e.g., SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and PCN-segmented networks).
Deep understanding of OT cybersecurity concepts, including network segmentation, identity governance, remote access, defense-in-depth, threat detection, purdue model, vulnerability management, and compliance in PCN environments.
Experience with automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible) and scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python; working knowledge of Linux and Windows platforms.
Proven ability to design integrations, APIs, and shared services that support scalable IT/OT capabilities across multiple sites.
Familiarity with Agile / Scrum delivery models and experience supporting development teams with architectural direction and design review.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the following tools is highly valued:
Splunk (or equivalent compliance / configuration assessment tools)
OT IAM Solutions (password manager pro, AD Manager Plus, Questa AD)
Secure remote access for OT (Remote desktop services, Cyolo, Dispel, Claroty)
Active directory management
MFA technologies that are phishing resistant and in compliance with cyber security principles for OT environments.
Valuable Certifications (Preferred)
ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Certifications, demonstrating deep knowledge of industrial cybersecurity architecture and controls.
TOGAF or equivalent enterprise / solution architecture certification, supporting structured architectural thinking and governance.
Networking certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP Enterprise or Security) with relevance to segmented OT / PCN network architectures.
Platform or infrastructure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Windows Server or Hybrid Architecture certifications) relevant to on-premises or hybrid OT environments
Understanding of hardening requirements for Industrial Control Systems.
Experience in Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum or SAFe) to effectively manage product backlogs, prioritize features, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Understanding of the unique challenges and regulatory requirements within the oil and gas industry, enabling the development of tailored OT solutions that enhance operational efficiency

Strong analytical, conceptual, and systems-thinking skills with the ability to balance standardization and site-specific needs.
Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborative mindset with experience working across globally distributed, multidisciplinary teams.
Proactive, ownership-driven approach with a strong focus on reliability, security, and operational excellence.
