About the Position:

The Reliability Condition Monitoring and Rotating Equipment Lead is the leader of a team of Condition Monitoring and Rotating Equipment Engineers with the Chevron ENGINE supporting Chevrons Refineries and Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) assets. This role forms part of a larger Reliability and Integrity function and the primary purpose is to monitor and maintain performance of a variety of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressor, drivers and associated systems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the performance of the team by establishing clear goals and expectations, coaching, feedback, mentoring, development and regular engagements as well as providing a safe respectful work environment for your team

  • Understand the requirements and priorities of our operating facilities. Communicate work requirements and priorities to your teams

  • Optimizes equipment integrity and reliability, safety, and efficiency

  • Leads projects of large scope and complexity under minimal supervision. Support troubleshooting of the equipment to improve reliability

  • Implement existing Chevron processes and systems in support of required work activities

  • Execute and deliver workflows covering Rotating Equipment Monitoring and Condition Monitoring on other Equipment types via a multitude of monitoring and data capture methods

  • Ensure work practices, applications, data, and tools are effective and efficient to meet Chevron and industry requirements. These include machinery performance monitoring, troubleshooting, routine and Turnaround machinery work scope development, and Engineering Work Order development

  • Manages and monitors KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of equipment, work processes, data, and tools

  • Ensure the team works safely through active engagement and reinforcement of the assets practices, policies, and Human Operational Performance principles and tools. Ensure lessons learned are shared and incorporated into work practices and processes

  • Is a strong collaborator with cross-functional teams (Operations, Technical, Routine Maintenance, Turnaround and Projects) to achieve the Team, Department and asset goals

  • Foster an inclusive environment both within the team and with the other functions in the BU

  • Ensure team works within budget and meets business plan objectives

Required qualification:

  • Minimum of 10-15 years relevant experience providing machinery engineering and condition monitoring support in a complex oil and gas operating environment

  • Demonstrated Supervisory Experience with Chevron experience highly regarded

  • Bachelor�s/master�s degree in mechanical or reliability engineering (B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M. Tech.) from a deemed/recognized (AICTE) university
