Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Executes Chevron P/SCM's contracting process.
Selects the appropriate contracting strategy, develop scopes of work, compensation structure, and contracting vehicle (e.g. Contract, Purchase Order, P-card) to effectively manage business risk.
Identifies and qualifies potential material and service providers, and oversees bidding, bid evaluation and contract award.
Works closely with Legal and Subject Matter Experts to ensure contract compliance through the contract life-cycle (contract planning, execution, post award management, and claims mitigation).
General knowledge on Facilities´ projects, Construction and Engineering
Required Qualifications:
Graduates in Engineering, Bachelor's Degrees (preferably with a background in the Oil & Gas Industry) with 3 to 6 years of experience, whose profile and experience is oriented towards Supply Chain or Contractual Management of Contractors or Subcontractors.
Technical knowledge in services related to Engineering and Construction of oil facilities.
Experience in the definition of contractual strategies, execution of bidding processes, review of technical and commercial specifications, negotiation and contracting of works and related services.
Advanced English language, oral and written.
Specific software: Office and contract administration programs.
Good communication and contractor management skills.
Willingness to interact actively as part of a multidisciplinary group within the organization. The position requires coordination and joint planning with all departments of the company: Project Management, Facilities, HSE, RRLL, Finance, Administration, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition, experience in construction companies will be an asset.
Experience in analysis of additional or scope changes, administrative control of contracts, monitoring of progress in certifications.
Knowledge of Benchmarking of suppliers and contractors, according to category.
Knowledge in macroeconomic analysis of prices.
Relocation Options:
Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
International Considerations:
Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
