Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Senior Tax Analyst through October 31st, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (Buenos Aires Time).
Main responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Tax returns preparation/supports the filing of tax returns.
- Tax determination on customers billing.
- Understanding of regulations and business an accounting acumen.
- Supporting internal and external audits.
- ERP/tax applications and databases maintenance.
Main Activities:
Manage most complex account reconciliations. Address corrective measures that may also impact other teams.Prepare fluctuation analysis (P&L, B/S, payments).
Analysis of accounting data and inventory gains/losses for tax reporting purposes.
Conduct research for more complicated tax questions and contacts tax authorities for clarification as needed.
Lead communication with business partners on issue/discrepancies resolutions.
Review Chevroncustomers’ taxability application based on tax law and business to ensure compliance.
Leads,coordinates and collaborates on special projects as well as review regulations and procedures.
Required Qualification/Soft Skills:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, business, finance or tax.
Combination of +6 years of tax accounting, finance and/or audit experience Excellent oral/written English skills.
Fluent in ERP/Tax systems or tax applications. Utilizes knowledge of work group systems to assist on enhancements and development projects. Preferred qualifications in system implementation (SAP).
Preferred qualifications:
US or International Direct and Indirect tax experience.
Soft skills: coordination/Leadership skills.
Analytical skills and critical thinking.
Able to adapt processes in response to a fast-paced environment.
