Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst through August 21, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (Central Time).
Currently seeking an experienced Cyber Threat Intelligence analyst to be part of a dynamic team in Chevron’s Cyber Intelligence Center (CIC). The analyst will produce relevant, accurate, timely, and actionable intelligence analysis. The analyst will produce written and oral products using the intelligence life cycle, analytic judgement, and legal and ethical parameters of intelligence collections. The preferred candidate will possess an understanding of cyber threats and tactics emanating from state-actors. The analyst will produce a variety of written and oral threat intelligence reporting for stakeholders ranging from the C-suite to technical incident responders and network engineers.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Investigate and research cyber threats that align with Chevron intelligence requirements and the broader requirements of the energy sector.
- Analysts should have enough technical knowledge and be comfortable using Security Event & Incident Management and Endpoint Detection and Response technologies to conduct internal network research.
- Analysts should have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences daily.
- Mature understanding of the cyber threat landscape.
- Experience providing support to incident response, vulnerability management, and risk management teams.
- Ability to start and bring projects to completion.
Required Qualifications:
- Education – bachelor’s degree in a related field or bachelor’s degree with related experience
- At least 3-5 years of experience in cyber threat intelligence or intelligence field.
- Knowledge of the intelligence lifecycle
- Ability to work hybrid schedule in Houston, TX.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience tracking state-sponsored threat actors.
- Experience in the oil and gas/critical infrastructure vertical a plus.
- Ability to research using Kusto Query Language, SIEM indexes, and/or similar tools.
- Ability to apply artificial intelligence tools, such as CoPilot, to your work.
- Previous use of structured analytic techniques such as, but not limited to, analysis of competing hypothesis.
- Certifications a plus.
