Global Security’s Strategic Planning team is responsible for developing and managing the policies, programs, and processes that support Global Security’s strategy and its leadership of the enterprise security function.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Support the implementation of Global Security’s strategy and security operations across the enterprise through the provision of fit-for-purpose programs and standard guidance.
  • Provide risk-based, fit-for-purpose, security advice and solutions to key partners in business units and corporate departments.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, clarify guidance, automate tools, and strengthen implementation of security risk assessment and risk management programs. 
  • Liaise with corporate and business unit security teams to identify and share best practices to help meet business needs. Coordinate cross-functionally to improve alignment with existing processes and tools. 
  • Advance efforts to develop and deliver Security Planning templates and Safeguard Assurance guidance and tools. 
  • Track and monitor trends and emerging issues related to physical security risk management.    Develop and deliver fit-for-purpose guidance and solutions.  Deliver training and awareness as necessary.
  • Monitor existing or emerging security-related legislation and regulatory requirements that could impact company assets.  Update key stakeholders as necessary and develop solutions and standard guidance for corporate and Business Unit security teams.
  • Represent Global Security in industry and trade association security meetings.
  • Develop and deliver Global Security Onboarding and Orientation Programs.
  • Advance efforts to expand functional Learning & Development content and resources to improve Organizational Capabilities. 
  • Liaise and benchmark as appropriate with industry and other private sector counterparts to identify best practices for effective security programs.
  • Assist with other Global Security Strategic Planning initiatives, as requested.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in public or private sector intelligence, law enforcement, military, security, or policy work.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk assessment and risk management principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft clear, concise, impactful guidance in support of strategic programs within large and diverse organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Capable and comfortable developing and delivering effective presentations for diverse audiences.
  • Proven initiative and critical thinking skills. 
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interest in world affairs.
  • Proven ability to deliver on commitments and meet timelines.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Possession of a valid passport and ability to travel internationally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters’ degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Foreign language ability
  • Oil and gas industry experience

Relocation Options:

Relocation will be considered.

International Considerations:

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
