The Specialty Network Optimization Lead is responsible for driving enterprise optimization across the lubricant value chain, with a strong emphasis on supply chain analytics and network optimization. This position supports global sales accounts, performs product clearance and business evaluations, and drives strategic projects to ensure decisions are data-driven and aligned with enterprise objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Optimization Leadership: Lead and accelerate mid-term action plan initiatives, coordinating efforts between Optimization, Operations, Technology, and Sales teams to optimize the lubricant supply chain.
- Strategic Supply Governance: Facilitate governance meetings for new product and component commercialization, providing detailed analysis to support decision-making.
- Global Sales Account Support: Act as the primary liaison for global sales accounts, driving supply chain improvement initiatives and ensuring high performance across the network.
- Product Clearance & Pricing: Perform product clearance process for global accounts and enterprise RFQ/RFPs, to ensure pricing achieves strategic and financial growth objectives.
- Transfer Pricing: Conduct transfer pricing for inter-company sales, utilizing benchmarking tools and costing models to maintain market-aligned pricing.
- Analytics Tool Stewardship: Build, maintain and enhance analytics tools and capabilities to improve decision speed and quality.
- Network Optimization: Leverage supply chain models to conduct detailed economic analysis for manufacturing and supply decisions. Act a primary decision point to accelerate value delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or Finance.
- Demonstrated ability to perform analytical work, including developing insights and drawing conclusions from data.
- Proficient in analytical tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Power Query.
- Skilled in data operations including ingestion, cleaning, transformation, aggregation, and automation.
- Experience with optimization and economic modeling techniques, including Linear programming, Cash flow analysis, Business case development
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to convey complex issues clearly.
- Skilled in using visualizations and storytelling to create compelling narratives.
- Exhibits high-performance behaviors such as: Extreme ownership, Decisiveness, Direct communication, Results-oriented mindset.
- Experience in the Lubricants Value Chain, including Additives, Finished Lubricants, Base Oil
- Proficient in Supply Chain Planning and Execution and Manufacturing Operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with optimization and economic modeling techniques, including Linear programming, Cash flow analysis, Business case development
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects under varying time constraints and competing priorities.
- Capable of independently identifying opportunities, engaging stakeholders, and implementing effective solutions.
- Strong financial fluency in business performance metrics such as: Cost-to-product, Cost-to-serve, Gross margin, Contribution margin, Net operating income
- Familiarity with SAP Master Data, ERP Systems, Supply Planning Systems (e.g. IBP), and Optimization Modeling is a strong plus.
