Position Overview
Chevron is seeking a highly skilled Communications professional to join our team. The Employee Engagement Communications Advisor plays a pivotal role in connecting employees to company priorities, positions and issues,enhancing organizational culture, fostering a sense of belonging and driving motivation among employees through strategic internal communications. This individual is responsible for developing, executing and refining internal communication and engagement plans, programs and campaigns that inform, inspire and engage employees at every level. The role requires a creative and analytical thinker who excels at crafting compelling narratives, building relationshipsand ensuring message alignmentfrom the corporate level through the business and ultimately to the fence-line.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver compelling narratives that bring the company’s priorities, values, and employee experiences to life, creating content that inspires, informs, and connects audiences across internal channels.
Develop and implement internal communication plans that showcaseChevron’spurpose and strategic objectives.
Ensure all communications are aligned with company tone and voice.
Develop and deliver engaging content across multiple formats, including executive talking points, emails, long-form narratives, social media sound bites, video scripts, and presentation decks, to effectively communicate key messages and engage diverse employee audiences.
Collaboratewith the business unit communications leads, HR, leadership and cross-functional teams to createcompelling content that fosters employee engagement and builds pride of association.
Maintain editorial calendar and overseetimely content development for internal communication channels.
Establish KPIs, conduct surveys and focus groups, and leverage analytics and employee survey results to assess employee engagement and communication effectivenesstoinform continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications and Skills
7+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate storytelling, or employee engagement, preferably in a large, multi-national organization.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
Proven ability to develop and execute impactful communication strategies that align with business goals and enhance employee culture.
Creative storyteller with a passion for building positive and inclusive employee experiences.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating content across various formats,including executive talking points for live speaking engagements, emails/letters, long-form storytelling, short-form social sound bites, video and presentation decks.
Demonstrated high business acumen with the ability to anticipate long-term communication needs and implications.
Skilled in aligning messaging with organizational goals and adapting strategies to meet evolving business priorities.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of the organization.
Confident presence and credibility when working with senior leaders and stakeholders.
Analytical thinker with experience using employee feedback and engagement metrics to inform communication strategies.
